On my Sunday drive last weekend, I was driving along near the Cayuga and Tompkins county line and caught a sight of a small cemetery right next to the road. The cemetery was just kind of stuck in there with some headstones falling down. Whenever I am out and about like this I always try to listen to my gut, and my gut said "go back." So I went back and got a better look at this little cemetery. There was no fence, no banner with a name or anything like that. It looked like it had not been tended much but then I noticed the red flowers in front of some of the graves. Clearly someone had been coming by and tending to this plot. Later, I did some research online and found that it is called the Wilcox Cemetery.
Thanks for stopping by.
