Dynamic Snail

Out for a nature walk with the kids in Yaman Park, we found this snail (and a number of others) eating the leaves of a group of milk weeds. I was not going to take a picture of it but Rowan insisted. I did not think much about the images as I did not see anything special there but I decided to give it a shot processing it as a High Dynamic Range image. Since I typically always auto bracket my shots just for this possibility, I figured I would give it a try. What came out was really a surprise to me. The green leaves popped out, and the snail seemed to transform into this glassy sleek creature. I was really amazed by how it turned out. The transformation was enough to convince me that I should keep doing the HDR stuff.

Thanks for stopping by.
